Lamar James Memorial Football Camp

Philosophy:
This camp is designed to provide participants with opportunities to learn, develop, and improve their football skills as well as their confidence in a fun, safe, and enjoyable atmosphere (non-contact). The majority of our schedule is spent on the field teaching and drilling the proper fundamentals and techniques of offensive and defensive football, the same things the Independence Pirates are taught. They will also learn aspects of team work, motivation, flexibility, and speed development in relation to the game of football.  Regardless of previous football experience or skill level, the Pirate Football Camp offers each athlete the opportunity to learn the fundamental techniques necessary to play the game. Whether you are a novice, or a seasoned veteran we have the individualized instruction to meet your needs and further your enjoyment of the Great Game of Football!

What to bring:
Each camper will need, proper clothing, cleats, towel, tennis shoes (in case of rain) and QBs will need to bring their own football.

Triple Option & Passing Camp

We will have two practices a day, this is a working camp, QB, WR, RB, and TE skills will be emphasized in a controlled environment that will allow the athletes to improve with each session.

Each Practice will be broken down into two sessions, with a run game session and a passing session with individual drill work. The second session inside each practice will consistent of all positions working together in the passing game.

Emphasis in the Option Game: Will be placed on the Inside & Outside Veer, from Under Center & from Gun.
Emphasis in the Passing Game: Will be placed on 3-Step Drop, 5 Step Drop, Sprint-Out, & Play-Action Passes.

Camp Brochure & Sign-up Form

The cost of the camp will be $100; this includes 3 meals, T-Shirt, and Camp Insurance. Team rates are available for 6 or more players for $75 a player. For an extra $20 housing can be arrange along with a dinner meal for Tuesday the 7th and Wednesday the 8th.
