Season Close March 2011
The Lady Pirates face the Hutch lady dragons to battle for the rights to
move on to the Region VI championship. The Lady Pirates came out very flat
offensively and not very good on defense. The Lady Pirates go in at the half
with a deficit of 14 points with a score of 16-30. But after the half the
Lady Pirates are fueled by a pair of talented freshman Jennifer Johnson and
Kamri Anderson. Johnson had a game high of 25 points off the bench
connecting on 3 of 7 from downtown and 6 of 7 from the charity stripe, and
Anderson added 14 points 6 of 8 from the field and 2 of 2 at the line.
Unfortunately their efforts weren't enough and the 30-2 Lady Pirates fall to
Hutch with a final score of 50-55, ended their amazing season with a record
of 30-3.
The Lady Pirates and the coaching staff would like to say to our
FANS, THANK YOU for being so loyal to us and following us
to almost every gym we played in this year.
